Author:   </a></font></b></a>shirleyann66
Character:   Major Edward Beck
Prompt:   Table 1, #62 - Curious
Fandom:   Jericho
Rating:   PG-13
Warnings :   Well, considering the show has been off the air for over a year, pretty much the entire series may be spoiled in these chapters. Sorry!
Word count:   165 (according to OpenOffice)
Summary:   Who's Heather?
Disclaimer/Claimer:   I do not own nor am I affiliated with Jericho or CBS or any of the other PTB in relation to the show. No infringement is intended. I'm just taking the characters out to play, and will do my best to show them a very, VERY good time. ;)

A/N:  Words in red are Beck's thoughts as he's writing; not what was actually sent.  ;)

March 20, 2007

Ms Lisinski:

(You are nothing if not persistent, like a pitbull) . Colonel Hoffman has (as usual) forwarded to me your (daily, like clockwork - I can set my watch by it) request to return to Jericho.

I am pleased to inform you that the region has now been stabilized and it is safe for you to return to your home. The next supply convoy is scheduled to leave at 05:00 on March 26th and will transport you here (and you'd better be on it if you know what's good for you; Colonel Hoffman is losing his patience).

Please report to my headquarters, located in the sheriff's office, as soon as you arrive to ensure you are placed on the town roster to receive your rations (and to see you for myself. Anyone who can put Colonel Hoffman on the run needs to be seen to be believed).

I look forward to meeting you (and finding out why you're so hot and bothered about getting back to Jericho).

Major Edward Beck

Bwahahaha! I love the contrast between Beck's terribly polite letter and his snarky thoughts here. (Because you just know that stuff is going on in his head in the Show too.) Very nicely done!

Oh, I know! There were a few scenes where all I could do was hold my breath, wondering what he was going to say...usually, what he said didn't match the look in his eyes. ;) I think I would have loved to have heard his inner dialogue, especially those moments when his face was calling "bullshit" to whatever he was hearing. LOL

I think his inner voice is much more...ummmm...honest than his outer voice was allowed to be. ;)

yeah, like that scene with hawkins, where he just couldn't hold it in anymore "You think I'm an idiot?"

Which was such an awesome scene, especially since Hawkins looked so smug and certain that Beck was buying the story until Beck's line. Bwahahahaha!! I so would have loved to hear that inner dialogue - for both of them. :)

Heh. Awesome! A perfect set up for the rapport that we see later on in conversation and the final confrontation between him and Heather is prefaced here. He finally got to let out all that red text ;)

Good grief - where did the last month go?? I knew I was really late in responding to your feedback but this is ridiculous!!

*ahem*

He finally got to let out all that red text ;)

Hee - yes, he did. You know she had to be making a complete pain in the ass of herself in Cheyenne - and that Beck would have heard about it. (well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! Hee!)
